Ratměřice

Ratměřice ( German Radmierschitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. You more than twelve kilometers southwest of Vlašim and belongs to Okres Benešov.

Geography

Ratměřice located in the Středočeská pahorkatina in a land that is called Česká Sibiř ( Bohemian Siberia).

Neighboring towns are Skrýšov in the north, and Hrzín Ondřejovec in the northeast, and Vlastišov Vestec in the east, and Zvěstov Šlapanov to the southeast, and Odlochovice Nosákov in the south, and Královna Vlčkovice the southwest, Habrovka in the west and Yankov in the northwest.

History

Ratmířici was first documented in 1220. The village was founded by a country gentleman named Ratmir. Since 1350, the Church of St. Gallus is a parish church. In the 14th century, the monastery Louňovice bought the place. After its destruction by the encampments Ratměřice was among the possessions of Tábor. Ferdinand I in 1547 confiscated all the goods of the rebellious city of Tabor and sold Louňovice including Ratměřice the following year to Oldrich Skuhrovský of Skuhrov. On March 6, 1645 was Ratměřice on the battlefield of Jankau, on this day the whole village was in ruins. 1665 acquired Franz Wilhelm of Talmberg Ratměřice and closed the village of his estates in Vlašim to.

1702 sold Rudolf von Talmberg Ratměřice together with Yankov to Johann Anton Kořenský of Terešov.
