Răzvan Lucescu

Razvan Lucescu ( born February 17, 1969 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian football goalkeeper and current coach. He is the son of former football player and coach Mircea Lucescu today. He is since 2014 Petrolul Ploieşti in Liga 1 under contract.

Playing career

Lucescu began his career as a goalkeeper in his hometown at Sportul Studenţesc. He also debuted on June 19, 1988 with match against AS Armata Tirgu Mures in Divizia A, but could not advance to the goalkeeper in the coming years. To escape the hype around his person, which was founded in Romania by his famous father, he moved to Italy in 1992, where his father was active as a coach. In the first round in 1992/93 he played for the SS Nola 1925 in the Serie C1, in the second half for the AC Cremo, before he returned to his original club Sportul Studenţesc to Romania. There he finally managed to establish itself and stood in the seasons 1994/95 and 1995/96 for all games of his team in goal. In 1996 he moved for one year to FC Naţional Bucharest, the Romanian 1997 he was runner-up. In the following season 1997/98 he played again for Sportul Studenţesc, but could not prevent the descent into Divizia B. Lucescu then returned for two more years to FC Naţional Bucharest, sat there, however, often on the bench. Therefore, he decided to return round 1999/2000 for the team FC Braşov to change. There he helped to prevent the descent into Divizia B, before he returned to the capital, this time to Rapid Bucharest. His father had just left the club as coach Lucescu and denied the following season as first-choice goalkeeper. In 2001 he moved again for a year in the province, brought it in the FCM Bacau but only on season ten games. In his final season as a player in 2002 / 03, he stood in the first round a single and final time at Rapid Bucharest between the posts and thus won the only championship of his career.

Coaching career

Lucescu took over shortly after his last league game, the Office of the Vice President at Rapid Bucharest, a role in which he contributed much more to victory in the championship. During the winter break 2003/ 04 he was appointed as successor by Marius Lăcătuş head coach of his former club FC Braşov, before he returned in July 2004 as a coach to Rapid Bucharest. Since he did not have the necessary coaching qualifications, Lucescu was first performed at Rapid as an assistant coach Dan Apolzan. This club he led three times in a row in the UEFA Cup and won with him twice the Romanian Cup. One day after the last successful Cup final Lucescu returned on 27 May 2007 again as coach of FC Braşov back, which he attributed to the league 1 a year later. On 29 April 2009 he was presented by the Romanian Football Federation as coach of the national team, led the current season but still as a club coach to end. One day after the 3-0 home win against Bosnia and Herzegovina entered Lucescu 4 June 2011, with immediate effect from his position as national coach back. On June 11, 2011, he signed a two-year contract as head coach at his former club Rapid Bucharest. After the end of the season 2011/12 he moved to the Qatar Stars League Al - Jaish. With the club he won in the 2012/13 season the Qatari Stars Cup and participated in the AFC Champions League 2013. After five successive defeats Lucescu was released in January 2014 Al- Jaish. On March 11, 2014 he was introduced as the new coach of the Romanian first division Petrolul Ploieşti.
