Regi Penxten

Regi Penxten (born Reginald Paul Stefan Penxten, born March 4, 1976 in Hasselt, Belgium) is a Belgian producer, songwriter, DJ and remixer. As a producer he is mainly in the area of ​​dance and trance music actively. In this role, he is one of the most influential producers in Belgium. History

For the Belgian preliminary rounds for Euro Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2006 ( Euro Song for Kids) produced Penxten in May 2006, the song " Ik wil ever nooit sea kwijt " by Nicolas Caeyers. The then 14 -year-old Caeyers finished in the finals of the Belgian preliminary decision on 1 October 2006 the fifth and last place.

In November 2007, published Penxten his first solo album " Registrated ". For this, he worked together with other Belgian artists from different genres, including Kate Ryan, Scala and Danzel. In Belgium, the album reached gold status prior to the publication of more than 10,000 copies sold.

In November 2007 Penxten announced their intention to participate for the first time with a composition at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2008. In February 2008, the formation Ellis T, created solely for the Euro Vision Song Contest failed with the song composed by him "My Music " in the third quarter-final of the Belgian preliminary decision.

In early April 2008 took Penxtens first solo concert under the name " Regi In The Mix - Registrated ' in the sold with 7500 visitors Lotto Arena in Antwerp instead. Up to this point Penxten had occurred only as a DJ at clubs and raves.
