Reinhard I, Lord of Hanau

Reinhard I of Hanau (* 1225; First mention: 1243; † September 20, 1281 ) is the progenitor of the Lords and Counts of Hanau.

Prehistory

With Reinhard I. closed the genealogy of the Lords and Counts of Hanau begins. He belongs to a 1166 /68 in Hanau documented proven noble family, the first after their family castle Dorfelden, from 1191 after the castle Hanau names himself ( de Hagenowe ). Biography
