Rémeling
Rémeling ( German Rhymes Lingen, Lorraine Reimléngen ) is a commune of 314 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Thionville -Est and Canton Sierck- les- Bains.
Geography
Rémeling is located about 23 kilometers east of Thionville, near the German border at an altitude 253-349 m above sea level. The municipality covers 6.47 km ².
History
The town was first mentioned in 1084 as Reimelinga and heard since 1661 to France.
