Richard Núñez

Richard Núñez ( born February 16, 1976) is an Uruguayan football player who currently is under contract with Danubio FC. Núñez is 1.72 m tall, footed and prefers to play left outside in the storm.

Association

At the end of the 2000/2001 season Núñez came from Danubio FC for a transfer fee of 4.5 million for Grasshopper Club Zurich. In his first game for the GCZ against FC St. Gallen in Hardturmstraße Stadium he scored three goals and contributed an assist at. GC consequently was the 26th time Swiss champion. In the following years Núñez played very successfully for the GCZ. In the 2001/2002 season, he and Christian Giménez from FC Basel with 28 goals for the first time leading scorer in Switzerland. He could repeat this success with 27 goals the following season 2002/2003. He arrived in the Swiss NLA / Super League at the incredible rate of 85 goals and 71 assists in 127 games.

After about four years in GC, the disagreement between Núñez, the former coach Marcel Koller Zurich and the leadership began to pile up and Núñez played very uncreative and unmotivated in the following months. Since he was unhappy and for the next season also should receive less pay, he refused a contract extension and he left the GCZ during the winter break 2004/05. A day later already signed the striker a new contract with Atletico Madrid. But Atletico Madrid Núñez left after little more than a year and went on a free transfer to CD Cruz Azul. There he was provisionally used as a midfielder.

In early 2006, he moved to the so-called Clausura Championship, within the Mexican League to CF Pachuca and celebrated with this club and its seventh league title in late May 2006. He scored in the final second leg the only goal in the 79th minute. ( First leg 0-0).

Then he worked for the Apertura 2006, back to Cruz Azul and scored in a 3-2 Home Win on August 6, 2006 against Pachuca a goal. In September 2008, he signed a one-year contract with Peñarol. After 8 goals in 21 league games and two appearances in the Copa Libertadores, he joined for season 2009/10 the Rampla Juniors at, for which he played since then. 56 games and 15 goals scored in La Liga are there for him to book. In the 2012/13 season he joined again for the starting point of his career forming league rivals Danubio. For the counterparties located in Jardines del Barrio Hipódromo club he played in the 2012/13 season 23 Erstligapartien (two goals). (As of last use June 1, 2013 ).

National

From his debut on 7 September 2003 until his last mission on 26 October 2005 Núñez graduated nine caps for the national team of Uruguay. A scoring remained denied him.
