Roger Shah
Roger Shah ( born November 29, 1972 in Esslingen am Neckar) is a German trance DJ and producer. He is also known under the aliases DJ Shah, Sunlounger, Black Pearl, Iceland Magic, Magic Wave, Savannah.
Biography
Roger -Pierre Shah began, he released his first single with claps and achieved first chart success in the European dance charts his career in 1996. 1999. Meanwhile, he was able to publish his singles on renowned labels such as Black Hole and Anjunabeats. He also founded the label Magic Iceland Records, which in 2008 became a sub label of Armada Music.
From 2001 to 2007 the sibling DJ Shah and Pedro Del Mar conducted a weekly radio show called Mellomania on Radio Sunshine Live. Since May 2, 2008 Roger Shah has a weekly radio show called Magic Iceland at Digitally Imported - Music for Balearic People. The two -hour program plays Trance and Progressive music in the first and chill-out Balearic Trance in the second hour.
In 2008 he produced with Armin van Buuren Going Wrong, the single that went into the Dutch singles chart at number 5. In 2009, Roger Shah in the selection of the Top 100 DJs of DJ Mag 's No.21
Pseudonyms and side projects
By 2008, Roger Shah published his music under the name DJ Shah only after he moved to Roger Shah. However, in addition to the tracks, which he published under his own name, he also produced music under pseudonyms such as High Noon at Salinas, Magic Iceland or Savannah. Another artist name is Sunlounger. Under this name he published in 2008 the album Another Day on The Terrace, were extracted from which four singles. In 2009 he brought the second album by the name of Sunny Tales out under this pseudonym. A single from the album, which appeared as early as 18 December 2008, was Lost. This was chosen in Armin van Buuren A State of Trance radio show to the Tune of the Year.
Roger Shah is also involved in side projects. It belongs to the project Purple Moods, which released on Anjunabeats their tracks, and together with Ralph Fritsch, he founded the Project Black Pearl.
