Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Nanchang

The Archdiocese of Nanchang (Latin: Archidioecesis Nanciamensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic archdiocese headquartered in Nanchang.

History

The Archdiocese of Nanchang was posted on October 15, 1696 by Pope Innocent XII. built with the Apostolic Constitution E sublimi Sedis of annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Jiangxi and Zhejiang as Apostolic Vicariate of Jiangxi. 1838 the Vicariate Apostolic of Jiangxi was dissolved and the area became the Apostolic Vicariate of Jiangxi and Zhejiang affiliated.

On March 27, 1846 Apostolic Vicariate of Jiangxi was by Pope Gregory XVI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Ex debito from annexations of the Apostolic Vicariate of Jiangxi and Zhejiang again. The Apostolic Vicariate of Jiangxi was divided on 19 August 1879 in the Apostolic Vicariate Südjiangxi and Nordjiangxi. On August 28, 1885 Apostolic Vicariate Nordjiangxi were parts of its territory from establishing the Apostolic Vicariate Ostjiangxi. The Apostolic Vicariate of Nordjiangxi was renamed on August 25, 1920 in Apostolic Vicariate Kiou - Kiang. On 3 December 1924, the Apostolic Vicariate Kiou - Kiang was renamed Vicariate Apostolic of Nanchang.

The Apostolic Vicariate of Nanchang was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the archbishopric.
