Roman Catholic Diocese of Tibú

The diocese Tibú (Latin: Dioecesis Tibuensis, Spanish: diócesis de Tibú ) is a location in Columbia Roman Catholic diocese based in Tibú.

History

Pope Pius XII. founded the Territorialprälatur Bertrana en el Catatumbo on August 1 in 1951 of territory of the Diocese of Nueva Pamplona. On 29 April 1956, lost part of its territory in favor of the establishment of the Vicariate Apostolic of Dedza.

On November 16 1983 she took the current name changed. She was raised on December 29, 1988 Diocese, which was the Archdiocese of Nueva Pamplona is a suffragan.
