Roman Catholic Mission Sui Iuris of Funafuti

The mission sui juris Funafuti (Latin: Missio sui iuris Funafutina ) is a Roman Catholic mission sui juris based in Funafuti. It includes the Pacific island nation of Tuvalu.

History

Pope John Paul II founded the mission sui juris Funafuti on 10 September 1982 division of the Diocese of Tarawa, Nauru and Funafuti and it became an archbishopric Samoa - Apia is a suffragan. On 21 March 2003 it became part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Suva.
