Rostislav Olesz ( born October 10, 1985 in Bílovec, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech professional ice hockey player who stands in July 2013 in the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Rostislav Olesz began his career in the youth of the HC Sareza Ostrava. Later he played in the youth teams of HC Vitkovice, for whom he played from 1999 in the U18 Extraliga. The following season he played first again in the U18 Juniors, but was repeatedly used in the U20 Junior. He also debuted in the same season in the Czech Extraliga and was with his 15 years the youngest Extraliga players of all time. In the following two years, he first became a regular player of the U20 Extraliga and later became an integral part of the men's team HC Vitkovice of.

In the U20 World Cup in 2004 is the 18 -year-old Olesz three goals and two assists, which drew the attention of NHL scouts on him. Internationally

Rostislav Olesz has participated in five international championships in his career: for the U18 national team, he took part in the U18 World Cup 2003. A highlight of his career was his appointment to the Olympic team for the Winter Games in Turin in 2006, where he worked with the national team the bronze medal won.
