Rubidoux [ru ː bɨdoʊ ] was a census-designated place in Riverside County in the U.S. state of California, United States. The place is located on the homonymous Mount Rubidoux.
On 1 July 2011 Rubidoux was merged with Glen Avon, Mira Loma, Pedley and Sunnyslope the city Jurupa Valley.
Geography
Rubidoux lay in the northwest of Riverside County, California, United States. The town had 34,280 inhabitants (as of 2010) and stretched out on an area of 25.757 km ², were of 25.017 km ² of land and 0.740 km ² water surface. In the south and east bordering the city of Riverside. Mount Rubidoux is located east of Rubidoux on the opposite bank of the Santa Ana River.
As the majority of exposing domestic Empires has also developed Rubidoux within a short time from a rural town to a bedroom community. In 2000 Rubidoux had of all the places in the Inland Empire and in Riverside County who were not Citys most residents.
History
The name goes back to Louis Rubidoux, in 1843 settled relying Rubidoux. As a descendant of French Canadians Rubidoux ' grandfather of Quebec City to St. Louis, Missouri had emigrated, where he was furrier. On 8 March 2011, the citizens of the Census-designated places Mira Loma, Pedley, Rubidoux, Glen Avon, and Sunnyslope decided with 54.03 % of the votes for a pooling of their hometowns to the new City of Jurupa Valley. The decision took effect on 1 July 2011.

Rubisoux was part of the 31st district in the Senate of California, which is currently represented by Democrat Richard Roth, and the 66th District of the California State Assembly, represented by Democrat Al Muratsuchi. Furthermore belonged Rubidoux California's 44th congressional district in which a Cook Partisan Voting Index of D 29 and is represented by Democrat Janice Hahn of.
