Rudolf Bester

Rudolf Bester (also Rudolph, born July 19, 1983 in Walvis Bay ) is a Namibian football players.

The striker began his career in 2003 at Blue Waters FC. With this club he was in 2004 Namibian champion. In 2006, he joined the Eleven Arrows, where he stood until early 2008 under contract. In February 2008 he went to Europe to the Serbian club FK Čukarički Stankom, for whom he scored two goals in 23 games before he returned to the Eleven Arrows 2009. In the same year, he joined the South African club Maritzburg United, which he left to the Orlando Pirates for season 2010/ 11 towards Namibia.

As part of the qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup he came five times for his country for use. His last goal was scored him here on 3 March 2010 in the away match against South Africa.

Achievements

2000 and 2004 Best was with the Blue Waters Namibian football champions. He is a national player and was among others in the squad of the Namibian national football team for the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana. He scored in 31 international matches until now nine goals.

2007 Best was voted Footballer of the Year in Namibia.

In the season 2009/2010 the South African Premier Soccer League Best won the "Goal of the Season Award" (comparable to Goal of the Year ).
