Sam Tsui

Samuel Tsui ( born May 2, 1989 in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania) is an American musician, best known by the video sharing website YouTube and is now one of the YouTube Stars. He achieved fame through the covers of various titles known performers, as well as by playing medleys and mashups.

Biography

Tsui has a Chinese father and an American mother. He grew up just a street away from Kurt Hugo Schneider on, its current producers and fellow musicians, with whom he also attended Wissahickon High School. Tsui graduated in 2011 in the course Ancient Greek Magna Cum Laude from Yale University.

Career

Tsui and Schneider began already in high school with the first recording together on an electronic keyboard with primitive recording equipment and the GarageBand program. Later, both enrolled at Yale University, where developed a musical partnership. Together they produced a number of different covers and medleys, as well as some consequences of an online series called "College Musical". In December 2010, Schneider's YouTube channel " Kurt Hugo Schneider " was visited 579 million times by users from all over the world, and 2.5 million members on YouTube had already subscribed to the channel. The most viewed video (over 70 million hits) is currently a cover of Just a Dream ( Nelly ), in which Tsui singing a duet with Christina Grimmie.

On June 15, 2011 Schneider's YouTube channel recorded over a million subscribers, and now (July 2013) about two million. On May 11, 2013 Tsui 's released a new album, which he produced with Kurt Hugo Schneider. Since August 14, 2011 Tsui has its own YouTube channel " TheSamTsui ", which is now ( February 2014 ) has over 1,000,000 subscribers and over 49 million video views. Most videos will however continue to be published on Schneider's channel.
