San Romano in Garfagnana

San Romano in Garfagnana is a town in the province of Lucca with 1432 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).

The place is located in the upper Serchio valley in the Garfagnana. The neighboring municipalities are Camporgiano, Piazza al Serchio, Pieve Fosciana, Sillano and Villa Collemandina. To place included the fractions Villetta, Sillicagnana, Naggio, Verrucole, Vibbiana, Orzaglia and Caprignana.

San Romano belongs to the Comunità Montana della Garfagnana. The municipality has a share in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park
