San Vito Chietino

San Vito Chietino is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 5277 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region. The community is located about 23.5 km west- southwest of Chieti directly on the Adriatic Sea. The municipality is part of the Costa dei trabocchi. The small river Feltrino crosses the area before it flows into the Adriatic Sea.

Traffic

Here ends the Strada Statale 84 Frentana that comes from the province of L' Aquila. By the municipality shall also undertake the Strada Statale 16 Adriatica and the Autostrada A14 from Bologna to Taranto. The train station of San Vito Chietino is the starting station of the ferrovia Sangritana. The route to Castel di Sangro is now shut down. Today the station from the Adriatic from Ancona railway is operated by Lecce.
