The Sandusky River is a tributary of Lake Erie in northern Ohio (United States). The Sandusky is about 241 km (150 mi) long and flows in Sandusky Bay in Lake Erie.
River course
The Sandusky River begins at the fed by sources Walton Lake in western Richland County west of Ontario and flows initially in Crawford County to the west by the towns of Crestline and Bucyrus. From the Wyandot County, Sandusky flows northward through the Seneca and Sandusky County. Before the mouth of the Sandusky Bay happens to be in the further course of the river or the city Upper Sandusky, Tiffin and Fremont.
In 1970 the course of the river between Upper Sandusky and Fremont by the Government of the State of the State Scenic River ( nature reserve, on the state level, see National Wild and Scenic River) was declared.
Little Sandusky River

The Little Sandusky River ( "Little Sandusky " ) is a small tributary of the Sandusky. It flows from the northern Marion County northwards and ends in the southern Wyandot County in Sandusky.
