The Save (pronounced Sa'wie ) is one of the major rivers in Zimbabwe and Mozambique. It is about 400 km long and flows almost entirely by fertile land. As he leads all year round water, it was always based on planning projects, the largest of which, the Save- Limpopo project was to be irrigated by the 100,000 hectares of land, mainly sugar cane plantations.

The Save rises about 30 km west of Hwedza in the province Ostmaschonaland, flows through the highlands ( highveld ), the water of Odizi absorbs, then plunges over the cases of Chivirira ( Shona for ' cooking area '). Then it flows through the province of Manicaland, there in front of the mountains of Chimanimani past, reflects the Birchenough Bridge, behind which it receives the waters of the Devure, the border with the province of Masvingo. It flows in a south-southeast direction. On the border with Mozambique, he joins in Gonarezhou National Park with the track and then flows further than Rio Save. From there he bends to the east, and finally joins up with Mambone about 100 km south of Beira on the Mozambique Channel in the Indian Ocean.
