Scharnweberstraße (Berlin U-Bahn)

Metro Station Scharnweberstraße is a railway station on the U6 line of the Berlin U -Bahn. He is the first of three above-ground stations of the U6 and is located in the district of Reinickendorf Berlin district Reinickendorf. The metro station was opened on 31 May 1958 as Scharnweberstraße ( Eichborndamm ) and has in station list of the acronym BVG damage. It is 824 meters from Otisstraße metro station and 1053 meters from the Kurt -Schumacher- Platz Underground Station.

The station has a covered reinforced concrete central platform, which has an access, each with an access hall on both platforms, and is about seven meters above street level. The design of the station is expedient on the platform are, however, also some red elements.

Since 7 December 2010, the station has an elevator system for barrier-free access. The costs amounted to 1.2 million euros.

Connection

At the metro station is a transfer possibility from the U6 bus line 221 to the Berlin public transport.
