Sedico

Sedico is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9980 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Belluno in Veneto. The main town of the municipality lies about 9 km west- southwest of the center of Belluno in the mouth of the triangle Cordevole in the Piave. The landscape is dominated by the Monte Schiara ( 2,565 meters). A large part of the municipal area is part of the Parco Nazionale delle Dolomiti Belluno. At the same time the community is part of the Comunità Montana Val Belluna.

Traffic

Through the community which now graduated to the former regional road Strada Statale 50 del Grappa e del Passo lead role from Trento to Belluno. In the district Bribano a train station located on the route Treviso- Feltre -Belluno. The former railway line from Sedico - Bribano to Agordo has been shut down since 1955.
