Senkaya ( Turkish for Clear Rock ) (Kurdish: Bardîz ) is a town and administrative center of the homonymous district in the Turkish province of Erzurum. The town has 2,945 inhabitants senkaya and the county 22,520 (as of 2008 ). Senkaya located in the northeast of the province and borders the provinces of Ardahan and Kars. Senkaya is an independent district since 1946. The old name Bardîz derived from the Armenian word for garden.
