Sergio Pintor

Sergio Pintor ( born November 16, 1937 in Oristano ) is an Italian clergyman and former bishop of Ozieri.

Life

Sergio Pintor received on 9 July 1961, the ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Oristano.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 29 September 2006 as Bishop of Ozieri. As a motto he chose Credidimus Caritati.

The Apostolic Nuncio to Italy and San Marino, Paolo Romeo, donated him on 8 December of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Ottorino Pietro Alberti, retired archbishop of Cagliari, Pier Giuliano Tiddia, retired Archbishop of Oristano, José Luis Redrado Marchite OH, secretary of the Pontifical Council for Pastoral Assistance to Health Care and Giuseppe Merisi, Bishop of Lodi.

Pope Benedict XVI. adopted on December 10, 2012 at his old conditional resignation.
