Showdown! is a blues album of the three U.S. musician Albert Collins, Robert Cray and Johnny Copeland, which was released in late 1985 on the Chicago label Alligator Records. According to label boss Bruce Iglauer it is " Alligators best-selling album".
Music history
Was recorded Showdown! in the Chicago Streeterville Studios. Were accompanied Collins, Cray, and Copeland in the recordings of the rhythm section of Icebreakers, Johnny B. Gayden (bass) and Casey Jones (drums), as well as their keyboardist Allen Batts. Appeared in 2011 that produced by Bruce Iglauer and Dick Shurman album celebrating the 40th anniversary of Alligator Records as a remastered, and the bonus track Something To Remember You By Advanced Reissue both in CD as in 180g LP format.
