Shuuto

The Shuuto (Japaneseシュート, Shuto of Engl. Shoot) or shoot ball is a throwing technique a pitcher in baseball. Here is the baseball at the speed of fastballs, and thrown seen by the thrower with a twist outward.

The Shuuto is related to the slider, but instead inwards breaks out, and similar to the Screwball which also rotates away to the outside, but is slower. The litter is mainly used by Japanese pitchers such as Hiroki Kuroda, Yu Darvish or Masaji Hiramatsu.

The Shuuto is often mentioned Mr. Baseball with Tom Selleck in the film. This Selleck plays a U.S. baseball player who emigrated to Japan and has great difficulty with the Shuuto.
