Forkball

The forkball ( German: Fork Ball) is a throwing technique a pitcher in baseball. Here, the ball is thrown with the same throwing motion of a fastball, but clamped in his hand between the index and middle finger, so that he comes with unexpectedly slow speed ( changeup ) and with a heavy ausrechenbaren tumbling motion on the opposing batsman. Thus it is to be enticed both to early beating and to swing at the wrong place.

Known forkball - throwers are the two-time Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum and Hideo Nomo, the first Japanese All-Star pitcher in Major League Baseball.
