Sibley–Ahlquist taxonomy of birds

The Sibley - Ahlquist taxonomy ( after Charles Gald Sibley ( 1917-1998 ) and Jon Edward Ahlquist ) is a DNA-based hybridization studies reclassification of bird families, which provided a distinctly different from the traditional scheme of arrangement birds. Although many changes are now accepted among ornithologists, other statements are still considered controversial or have since been disproved.
