Geography and transport
Sievershütten with its local Heath, Charles Castle, Hasenhörn, Danish Must, In the bush is about 20 km north of Norderstedt in a rural environment. To the west runs the Federal Highway 7 from Hamburg to Schleswig, north of State Road 206 from Itzehoe to Bad Segeberg and east of State Road 432 from Norderstedt to Bad Segeberg.
History
Sievershütten grew out of a former glassworks, which was first mentioned in 1483 on a tax list of the Office Trittau under the designation to the Hutts. In 1700 the place was called already Sievert huts, after the glassworks owner and farmer Vogt Sievert Steenbuck. The glass industry became extinct in the 18th century.

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council, the SPD has since the local elections in 2013 five seats, four seats and the CDU voters Community WGS two seats.

Economy
The municipal area is predominantly agricultural. On the grounds of the former dairy farm, a small industrial complex has settled.
Attractions
In the list of registered cultural monuments of Schleswig -Holstein, the Fachhallenhaus Kate is recorded at the church street 11. Built in 1763 former smokehouse ( Rookhus ) has a thatched hipped roof and walls of brick timber. It was restored in 2001 and is a listed building.
