The community association simmering / Hunsrück is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority which is located in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. Its membership includes 31 independent local congregations and the eponymous town simmering / Hunsrück. The community association has its administrative headquarters in simmering / Hunsrück.

The association council simmering / Hunsrück consists of 32 volunteer council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 a personalized proportional representation, and the full-time mayor as chairman.

Mayor

Since 22 August 2012, Michael Boos (SPD ) mayor of the municipality of simmering. In a runoff election on May 20, 2012, he gained 66 % of votes cast. He replaced Manfred Faust, who retired for reasons of age from office.
