Soběslav

The city Soběslav ( German Sobieslau ) is 405 m above sea level. M. at the confluence of the rivers Lainsitz and Černovický creek 20 km south of Tabor, Czech Republic. Soběslav extends over an area of ​​1998.58 hectares and counts 7,308 inhabitants ( 1 January 2004), it belongs to the Okres Tábor on.

History

1293, the village was first mentioned in writing in 1390 gave Henry III. Rosenberg of the settlement town rights. The longest time was Soběslav owned by the Rosenbergs who could create many interesting buildings.
