Solčany

Solčany ( 1927-1948 Slovak " Selčany "; Hungarian Szolcsány ) is a municipality in western Slovakia. It is located between the river Nitra in the west and the mountains to the east Tribeč. The ( former ) District Topoľčany city is 3 km to the northwest.

The village was first mentioned in 1235 as Scelchan writing.
