Southern District (Israel)
The Southern District (Hebrew מחוז הדרום Machoz HaDarom ) in the State of Israel is one of the six districts of the country and the largest area. It is 14,231 square kilometers, has 1.1216 million inhabitants and covers large parts of the Negev and the Arava.
The Southern District comprises the two sub- districts of Beersheba and Ashkelon.
