Spånga IS FK

Spånga idrottssällskap, often abbreviated Spånga IS, is a Swedish football club based in Spånga, a city district of Stockholm. The team played six seasons in the Swedish second league.

History

Spånga IS founded on September 6, 1929 as a general sports club. The club had, among other departments for handball, skiing, bandy, ice hockey and football.

The football team of the club played a long time in the league unterklassigen area. After being relegated from the third division in 1968, she was able to rise again in 1970.
