Søren Pilmark

Søren Pilmark ( born October 16, 1955 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish actor and director. He attended drama school at Aarhus Theatre. Pilmark has so far appeared in over 40, mainly Danish, movies. He was known internationally by Lars von Trier's television series The Kingdom and the movie Flickering Lights.

In Denmark and Scandinavia it is also very well known for his commercials for the Danish State Railways DSB in which it occurs together with the doll "Harry". The " Harry " campaign of the DSB is one of the long -running durchkonzeptionierten advertising campaigns in Denmark.

Pilmark is a member of the Danish cabaret quartet Ørkenens Sønner whose rough Sing games are also broadcast on Danish television ( Sons of the Desert).

On 12 May 2001, the 46 Euro Vision Song Contest in Copenhagen by Natasja Crone and Søren Pilmark moderated, which presented their announcements and intermediate texts in rhyme.

His directorial debut Søren Pilmark 2006 as the director of the short film " Helmer & Son " in the category " Best Short Film " was nominated for an Oscar.
