Stary Borek

Stary Borek ( German Altbork, formerly Old Borck ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the rural community of Kolobrzeg ( Kolberg) in the powiat Kołobrzeski ( Kolberg ).

Geographical Location and Transport

Borek Stary is located in Eastern Pomerania, about seven kilometers southwest of the city of Kolobrzeg Baltic Sea and from there via back roads via Korzystno (Alt Werder ) or Grzybowo ( Gribow ) to reach. The village has a railway station on the State Railways ( PKP) distance from Koszalin ( Koszalin ) to Goleniów ( Gollnow ).

History

Before the mid 14th century Altbork had become a property of the town of Kolberg after the magistrate had purchased the village in 1337 by Henning and Bertram of Heydebreck sale. Under the previous owners of the abbot and convent of the monastery of Doberan had been. 1346 also sold the brothers of Kamke their share of the Bork Kolberger magistrate. Around the year 1784 there were 13 full Altbork farmers, seven Büdner and a total of 31 hearths ( households ).

The village belonged until 1945 to the district Kolberg- Körlin Pomerania. Towards the end of the Second World War, the village beginning in March 1945 was occupied by the Red Army and subsequently placed as all Pomerania under Polish administration. The German population was expelled due to the so-called Bierut Decrees from the region. The village was renamed in Stary Borek Altbork.

Stary Borek was 1946-1954 seat of the municipality of the same country. Today it is a district of Gmina Kolobrzeg in the powiat Kołobrzeski within the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Parish

Until the mid-19th century Altbork belonged to the Evangelical Church of Holy Spirit in Kolobrzeg. After the demolition, a new church was built in Old Werder, and umgepfarrt Altbork there. The parish Old Werder belonged until 1945 to the Church of Kolberg in Pomerania Ostsprengel the Church of the Church of the Old Prussian Union.

Since 1945, live in Stary Borek predominantly Catholic church members. In Korzystno now is again a parish that belongs to the deanery in the Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg Kolobrzeg of the Catholic Church in Poland. Here now living evangelical church members are assigned to Poland in the rectory of the parish "For the good shepherd " in Koszalin in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church.
