Still (Bas-Rhin)

Still is a commune with 1751 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region, close to Dinsheim -sur- rupture and Gresswiller in a northern tributary of the Bruche Valley.

Still is a scattered village, which is surrounded mainly by farmland. All the streams of the village unite for Still stream that flows past the eastern side of the village. Through the site, the department road D 118 performs Distance to Molsheim, seat of the eastern sub-prefecture, is about seven kilometers.

  • The Catholic church was built in the 19th century and contains a Gothic baptismal font from the 15th century, which is listed as a monument historique. It was renovated in 2008.

  • L' Institut des Aveugles, Institute for the Blind, founded in 1895, was a device for education of blind and visually impaired children and adolescents. Today in this facility adults are housed.
