Street circuit

Under a street circuit is defined as a circuit that is only temporarily set up on a public road in a city. For this purpose, the affected roads are closed to traffic and cordoned off the track with fences and guard rails for motor sports, cycling or running events. The building for the race organizers and the bleachers are often built for the race weekend and then removed again.

Most city courses were set up on long existing roads. There are also courses that were planned and created new in urban areas. As a result, you have it, at least partially, released for public transport, for the Formula 1, for example, the Circuit Gilles -Villeneuve in Montreal.
