Sudbury District

The Sudbury District is an administrative district in the center of the Canadian province of Ontario. Capital is Espanola. The population is 21,196 (2011), the area of 40205.41 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 0.5 inhabitants per km ². The district was created in 1874 from parts of Algoma District and Nipissing District of. It surrounds the city of Sudbury, which was spun off in 1973 from the district.
