TAG Immobilien AG ( TAG) is the holding company of a diversified property group, whose activities include both the residential and commercial real estate area as well as the entire service sector. The company's focus is on the real estate market, and in particular metropolitan areas such as Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Leipzig and North Rhine -Westphalia. The TAG is a portfolio manager and realized potential for appreciation in the portfolio through active asset management and strategic acquisitions of attractive properties. TAG has offices in Hamburg, Berlin, Leipzig, Dusseldorf, Salzgitter, Nauen, chubs, Erfurt and Jena and employs a total of 508 employees (as of 31 December 2012). TAG is a publicly traded company. From December 2006 to September 2012, of TAG was listed in the SDAX since in the MDAX.

The number of shares is since December 31, 2012 130 738 169 pieces. The free float is 100 %. National and international investors with predominantly long-term oriented investment strategy are the main shareholders of TAG.

The real volume of the TAG is EUR 3,665 million (as at 31 January 2013). Of this, the company has invested EUR 3,203 million in residential real estate and just under EUR 462 million in commercial real estate. The TAG is solid with an equity ratio of 23% and mostly long -term financing.

Today the shops in Hamburg are performed, the roots of the TAG are, however, at the Tegernsee in southern Germany. In 1882, the railroad corporation Schaftlach - Gmund Tegernsee was founded in Munich. The train transports passengers today, TAG leased the rail fleet, however, in 1999, and changed fundamentally by the acquisition of investments and property companies. The sale of the Tegernsee railway operating company in late 2012, TAG is now fully focused on the property sector.

In November 2012, the TAG took over the existing housing stock of 11,350 units of TLG living, in the returning to the THA dwellings of the Federal bundled in East Germany.

Story of Tegernsee -Bahn

The company went from the 1882 first as a railroad corporation Schaftlach - Gmund AG founded out that built the 7.6 km long railway track between these locations. Significantly involved was Ferdinand von Miller. From 1896 the line was extended by 4.8 km to Tegernsee; 1902, the first train to Tegernsee and the company was in railroad corporation Schaftlach - Gmund - Tegernsee (EAG) renamed. 1942, the name was shortened in Tegernsee - Bahn Aktiengesellschaft, spun off in 1983, railway operations into the new subsidiary Tegernsee -Bahn mbH (TBG ).

The driving has been leased since 1998 to Bayerische Oberland Bahn, who had previously received state license for the operation of rail transport in the Bavarian Oberland. The rail infrastructure of the Tegernsee -Bahn mbH continues to be used by the BOB. The unneeded rail fleet gave the Tegernsee -Bahn in 1999. Since 2002, TBG has again its own locomotive DAY 15 This former DB Köf III is used for snow plow rides and work train operations.

The Tegernsee -Bahn mbH is a member of the collective organization of the federal treasury and non-federally owned railways in Germany ( TBNE ).

TAG Immobilien has sold for 11 million euros to the two communities and Gmund Tegernsee (each 45 percent of the shares) and to the Miesbach (10 percent) on December 20, 2012, the TBG. The assets of the Company comprise the railway Schaftlach -Tegernsee 12.4 kilometers in length and 147,000 m² area, the two station building in Gmund and Tegernsee including plots of together 35,000 m², two undeveloped lakefront land with a total of 12,000 m² and 2,330 m² with 33 residential units Developed Real in A1 location on Lake Tegernsee.

From the railway operators to the Property Group

  • 2012 December TAG sold with the Tegernsee -Bahn the historic core of the company to the municipalities and the county site.
