Tha Tum District

Amphoe Tha Tum ( Thai: อำเภอ ท่าตูม ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Surin. The Surin province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Amphoe Tha Tum borders the following districts ( from east clockwise): Amphoe to the Rattanaburi, Sanom and Chom Phra in the province of Surin, Buriram Province to Amphoe Satuek, Amphoe Chumphon Buri to turn in Surin, as well as to the Amphoe Kaset Wisai and Suwannaphum the province of Roi Et

Management

Amphoe Tha Tum is divided into ten subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 165 villages ( Muban ).

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Tha Tum ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ท่าตูม ), consisting of parts of the tambon Tha Tum,
  • Mueang Kae ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เมือง แก ), consisting of the entire Tambon Mueang Kae.

In addition, there are ten " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
