Thames Path

The Thames Path is a 296 km ( 184 miles ) long footpath in England, following the course of the River Thames. It leads from the Thames source at Kemble ( Gloucestershire ) to the barrage of the river at Woolwich in south-east London. A continuation on the south bank of the topic of about 16 km (10 miles) is possible to Crayford Ness. The stages are 7-20 km ( 4.5 and 12.5 miles) long.

The path is established in 1996 as a National Trail by Natural England, a government agency, manages and follows, as far as possible, the course of the old towpath.
