The Amenta

The Amenta is an Australian industrial death metal band from Sydney, founded in 2002.

History

The band was founded in 2002 and still published in the same year their first EP Mictlan. The EP followed in 2004, the debut album Occasus via Listenable Records. In 2005, the band won the award for Best New Metal Band from the Australian Kerrang Magazine. In addition, the band held the first live performances and went on tour throughout Australia. In 2008, the second album included on n0n, which was also published in Listenable Records. The album had several guest musicians like Adam Darski ( Behemoth ) to hear Jason Mendonca ( Akercocke ), Alex Pope ( Ruins ) and Sir Alice. The year 2009, the band began a European tour with Deicide, Samael, Vader, Devian and Order of Ennead. Following appearances followed in Australia and New Zealand with The Berzerker, Psycroptic and ruin. In early 2010 was followed by a 40 appearances comprehensive tour of North America along with Vader, Decrepit Birth, Warbringer, Augury, Swashbuckle and Rose Funeral. In 2011, another tour through Europe, as well as appearances followed in Australia along with ruin. In the same year, the band also took on the next EP V01D, which was included in the NON Studios and was released as a download.

Style

The band plays an aggressive mix of death and industrial metal, which also partly influences are processed from the noise area.
