The Prophet (musician)
The Prophet ( born November 5, 1968; actually Dov J. Elkabas ) is a Dutch DJ and music producer of Jewish descent. He is also known under the name The masochist and formerly known as " Akhnaton ". Dov J. Elkabas is the owner of the label Scantraxx Recordz and usually puts Rave, Hardcore Techno, Hardstyle and Progressive on.
Career
Dov Elkabas began in 1983, after a visit of a party in the discotheque Het Nijlpaardenhuis (literally: The Nilpferdehaus ), with the laying. He bought his own turntables and started to experiment with it. He put on some festivals under the name of Akhnaton.
In 1991 he founded with DJ Dano, Buzz Fuzz and Gizmo the Gabber-/Hardcore-Techno-Act The Dream Team. Later he started more on the direction of the hard styles and other styles to orient. Elkabas puts under his various pseudonyms on many big raves and festivals in the Netherlands and Europe, among others Thunderdome, Q-Base, Mystery Land, Decibel Outdoor, Nightmare Outdoor, Defqon.1, Nature One, Qlimax more.
