The Rebound ( Original title: The Rebound ) is a romantic comedy from writer-director Bart Freundlich. In the German cinema, he appeared on December 31, 2009.
Action
The 40 - year-old mother Sandy led a quiet life until she discovers that her husband is having an affair. This can not offer Sandy. She pulls head over heels with her children to New York. There she wants to start a new life. It so happens that she is looking for a babysitter while Aram, a 25 -year-old waiter from a coffee shop that has a good relationship with the children of Sandy, meets and entrusted him with the children. Also Aram has just a failed marriage behind him, as his wife has married him only because she wanted to get a green card through marriage and cheated on him. Aram cares henceforth as a babysitter to Sandy's young, but in time to come Sandy and Aram closer together, until they fall in love.
Sandy is pregnant by Aram. The doctor notes, however, that there was an ectopic pregnancy. Then Sandy drawing a line and ended their relationship with Aram.
Aram decides to let go of Sandy and to embark on a world tour. Sandy, meanwhile, makes a brilliant career as a television presenter and lives happily with her children. Years later, the two meet by chance in a restaurant again. There is Aram in front of his adopted son and continues to Sandy and her family. In a final scene can be seen as both hold under the table again each other's hands.

Criticism
The TV Magazine prism slating the film: "Rarely saw such a bad comedy! The course of history is clear anyway after a few minutes, so that might help only funny gags. But the are so bad, covered and without timing that you can beat up over his face only his hands and quickly want to look into the distance. The actors also act worse than grimacing puppets. A horror! "
