Tomáš Pekhart ( born May 26, 1989 in Sušice ) is a Czech football player.

Career

Association

Tomáš Pekhart began playing football at the age of five years at TJ Sušice. From the beginning, he towered over his teammates, often playing a higher age group. In the season 2002/ 03 he was awarded to TJ Klatovy and top scorer of his team, who played in the top Czech league for C- teens. It also managed the talented striker in the selection of the Pilsen Region. Thereupon reported both Viktoria Plzen and Slavia Prague of interest in the attacker being Pekhart ultimately joined the capital club.

Even with Slavia Pekhart was often top scorer of his team. He was elected to the Czech Republic in the category of B- young talent for the year 2005.

In the summer of 2006 Pekhart moved to Tottenham Hotspur and signed a three-year contract in London. In the season 2006/ 07 Pekhart scored 19 goals in 20 games for the boys team Tottenham Hotspur Academy. For the reserve team at this time 17- year-old came twelve times used. Also in the season 2007 / 08 played the striker for Tottenham Hotspur Reserves. In the summer of 2008, Pekhart prepared with the first team before the new season. In the game against the Spanish club Tavernes he scored two goals on 14 July 2008. Subsequently, the striker returned to Tottenham. In February 2009, he was loaned to Slavia Prague. Due to injury problems he played for Slavia only 13 games in which he scored twice. During the summer break in 2011 Pekhart transferred to 1 FC Nuremberg. The striker received a four-year contract and scored in his first Bundesliga season nine goals.

National

In September 2004 Pekhart was first appointed to the Czech Under-16 selection and crowned his debut in the 3-1 against Slovakia with a goal. Since then, the attacker was appointed regularly in the junior representative teams of the Czech Football Association and was an integral part of the U-21 national team of his country. In 2010 he made ​​his debut in the senior team in his home country.
