Tucson Gila Monsters
The Tucson Gila Monsters were an American ice hockey team from Tucson, Arizona. The team played from 1997 to 1999 in the West Coast Hockey League.
History
The Tucson Gila Monsters were established in 1997 as a franchise of the West Coast Hockey League. In her first season she missed only one of the nine teams to the playoffs for the Taylor Cup after they finished the season in fifth and last place thus the WCHL South Division. Already at the beginning of the 1998/99 season, her second season, the team had to suspend the operation of gambling due to financial problems and those responsible solved the franchise on. In two seasons of Canadians Martin Raymond worked for the team from Arizona.
