Uchtdorf is a district of the city of Tangier cottage in the south of the district of Stendal, in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ).
Geography
Uchtdorf is on the river just east of Tangier Colbitz - Letzlinger Heath on the southern edge of the Altmark. The flat area around Uchtdorf is characterized by the fan-shaped flowing towards the north Tangier source streams. To the west and south of the district borders the county Uchtdorf flare. Tangerhütte is just four kilometers from Uchtdorf away.
History
Probably originally Wendish populated place in 1305 was first mentioned in a document. The Uchtdorfer stone church dates from the 13th century (1720 expanded since 1998 with their headlamps ). For the year 1600 are parson and clerk, for 1768 witnessed a teacher in Uchtdorf.
1610, the water mill (Tangier Mill) was first mentioned. In addition to agriculture played in the past, the craft a role in Uchtdorf, further, there was a wood trading company. Some residents worked as an ironworker in the middle of the 19th century built ironworks in neighboring Vaethen (1928 Tangerhütte renamed). After the construction of the road to Vaethen (1896 ) settled in the early 19th century to a steam dairy and a brickyard.

Memorials
- Tombs were buried in the local cemetery for four unknown concentration camp inmates on a death march from the concentration camp Dora -Mittelbau, murdered in April 1945 on the road to Mahlwinkel, buried at various points and in 1947 here

Traffic
From Uchtdorf from roads lead to Tangier hut, after Dolle on the main road 189, according to Mahlwinkel and after Rogätz on the Elbe ( ferry). There buses stop and call buses of the regional transport company West Saxons ( RVW ) stendalbus under the brand name. The nearest train stations are in Tangerhütte and Mahlwinkel on the railway Magdeburg- Wittenberg.
