Udo Poser

Udo Poser ( born August 21, 1947 in Hildburghausen ) is a former German swimmer who competed for East Germany.

At the European Championships in 1966 he appeared for the first time in international sport in appearance, as he 100 m freestyle relay was European champion with the 4 × and 4 × 100 m with the medley relay won the silver medal. In 1970 he was able to secure the title over 200m butterfly and the medley relay then, over 100 m butterfly handed it still the silver medal. At Olympic Games, however, he could not win any medals. His best finish was a fifth place in 1968 with the 4 x 100 meter freestyle relay. In 1970 he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver.
