The University of Waterloo (UW ) is a public research university in the city of Waterloo, Canada, about 100 km west of Toronto. The University was founded in 1957. 2010, it had 26,451 students and 3,505 graduate students and 1,047 faculty members.
Particularly well known is the University of Waterloo for their co - op program, a sort of part-time study, and for their mathematical and engineering disciplines.

Cooperations
Exchange programs consist, among others, the University of Mannheim, Otto-Friedrich - University of Bamberg and the Technical University of Hamburg -Harburg. Together with the University of Mannheim Master's program " Intercultural German Studies" (Joint Degree) is offered. The oldest exchange program in the Faculty of Engineering will entertain the TU Braunschweig.
As part of the program since 2010 CANEU.Coop European students Canadian interns come to Waterloo and received in return in their home country. The Cooperative State University Baden -Württemberg, thereby allowing Canadian interns to work with their German exchange partners in their training company.
