Ute Rührold

Ute Rührold (today Ute Klawonn ) ( born December 9, 1954 in Zerbst ) is a former German luger.

She won the silver medal in each Sledding at the Olympic Winter Games Sapporo in 1972 and 1976 in Innsbruck. In 1972, she failed to Anna -Maria Müller and 1976 it was Margit Schumann an Olympic gold medal in the way. Your biggest individual success came with winning the European Championship in 1972. At the world championships 1972, 1973, 1975 and 1976, she won the silver, the bronze medal in 1974.

Ute Rührold was married to the East German handball player Wolfgang Böhme. This marriage ended in divorce. Ute Klawonn (born Rührold ) now lives in a second marriage in the Rostock area, where it acts as a tourism manager.
