Uwe Neuhaus

Uwe Neuhaus ( * November 26, 1959 in Hattingen ) is a former German football player and current football coach. Since 2007 he is coach of 1.FC Union Berlin.

Career

Uwe Neuhaus first learned the job of electrician and was four years a soldier in the Army Aviation in Rheine - Bentlage before he could devote himself to a career as a footballer.

Player

After Neuhaus began his career in his hometown at TuS Hattingen, he came over the stations VfL Winz - Baak and SpVgg Erkenschwick 1984 to Rot- Weiss Essen. With the Essenes he gained his first experience in the 2nd Bundesliga, but switched in 1988 to the second division relegated BVL 08 Remscheid. A year later he moved again after Remscheid had missed promotion to the Football Oberliga Nordrhein. This time he joined the SG Wattenscheid 09 and rose in the first year on the football league, which meant the biggest success in club history for Wattenscheider.

In the four Erstligajahren the SG Wattenscheid 09 Neuhaus was one of the regulars. In the first season the club was surprisingly reach the eleventh place, after which the team struggled but year after year against relegation until 1994, no longer able to hold the class. The following year, Neuhaus ended his playing career after a total of 102 first-time (12 goals) and 83 second division games ( 5 goals).

Coach

Neuhaus was at first as a coach in Wattenscheid. However, he went with the team in 1996 as well as from the 2nd league and had to go then. After a year at VfB Hüls he came in 1998 to Borussia Dortmund as an assistant coach Michael Skibbe. He remained until 2004 at BVB, worked during this time as an assistant coach with the head coaches Michael Skibbe, Bernd Krauss, Udo Lattek and Matthias Sammer together and celebrating successes. 2002 won Neuhaus as an assistant coach the German championship and reached at the same time that the final of the UEFA Cup. With the dismissal Sammers before the season 2004/ 05 and the Bert van Marwijk's attitude and his assistant Dick Voorn also the commitment of Neuhaus ended up as assistant coach.

He then supervised the second men's team of Dortmund until 2005 he was the successor to Jürgen Gelsdorf as head coach at his old club Rot-Weiss Essen on April 23. At the beginning of the 2007/08 season, Neuhaus joined the former Berliner regional league team 1.FC Union Berlin, with him after qualifying for the new third professional league. His contract in Berlin runs until the end of the season 2015/16 and is valid for the first two leagues.

Private

Neuhaus was married from 1985 to 2009 with Beate. The marriage produced a son and a daughter have emerged. Since 2008, Neuhaus is in a relationship with the financial accountant of the first FC Union Berlin Britta calmus. In June 2013, the two married in Berlin.
